Induction furnaces, with their wide range of applications in industries like casting, steelmaking, machining, heat treatment, etc., are considered the backbone of a steelmaking plant. On the other hand, induction furnaces and their related equipment typically constitute a significant portion of a plant investments. 

Given these factors, maintenance and repair of these furnaces, as well as their upgrades, are of paramount importance. Failure to maintain them properly or to consider new designs and structures in the furnaces’ construction or functionality, will ultimately lead to the depreciation or decline in efficiency of this valuable capital asset after a few years.
